Spiritual Celebrations of Milad-un-Nabi: Rochdale and Bolton Host Enriching Processions
In Rochdale, Greater Manchester, UK, a spiritually uplifting procession was organized by the Millad Committee of Rochdale to celebrate the blessed birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Despite the rain and adverse weather conditions, a large number of participants, including scholars, youths, elders, and children, joined the procession. The event commenced with a special prayer at Al-Quba Jamia Mosque. The atmosphere along the procession route was filled with the recitation of blessings and salutations.
The procession, which wended its way through various streets of Rochdale, concluded at Faizan-e-Madina, where tea was served to the participants. The event ended with prayers and salutations in honor of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and supplications for the safety, peace, and prosperity of the homeland, as well as for the oppressed Palestinians and the entire Muslim Ummah.
In Bolton, Greater Manchester, the Ismalia Foundation organized the annual Milad-un-Nabi procession at Makkah Mosque. A large number of devotees attended, and the atmosphere was filled with slogans welcoming the arrival of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the praise of the Prophet. The participants recited naats (praise songs) as the procession traversed different routes, led by Pir Sufi Muhammad Asghar Ismaili. He emphasized that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) eradicated the darkness of disbelief and spread the light of Islam throughout the world.
The procession saw a significant turnout from both the UK and Europe, with many young and elderly participants. It concluded at the 3D Center, where annual celebrations for Khwaja Pir Muhammad Aslam’s Urs were held. The event featured naats presented by Ahmad Raza Qadri, Usman Obaid Qadri, and others. Additionally, speeches were delivered by Sahibzada Riyaz Ahmad Ismaili, Pir Muhammad Asghar, Sufi Mahmood, Nawaz Bashir Jalali, Allama Muhammad Hanif Saqi, and Allama Abdul Rasool, who provided in-depth discussions on the life and virtues of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
