Pakistan’s Shah Zeb Khan Triumphs with Gold in -54 kg Category; Hamza Saeed Secures Silver
In the final, he defeated Calamba from the Philippines. Hamza Saeed was defeated in the final by Kablan from Kazakhstan.
Indonesia – Shah Zeb Khan from Pakistan won the gold medal in the -54 kg category final of the Asia Open Karatedo Taekwondo Championship by defeating Calamba from the Philippines in an exciting match. In the first round, Calamba secured victory against Shah Zeb with a score of 6 to 11. However, in the second round, Shah Zeb showcased an impressive performance, winning 10-3, and he dominated the third round with a score of 18-0, thereby securing the first gold medal for Pakistan in this event. Earlier, Shah Zeb Khan qualified for the final by defeating Indonesia’s Hidayat Tomakaka with scores of 12-14, 16-14, and 22-0 in the semifinals.
In the +87 kg category final, Kazakhstan’s Kablan defeated Pakistan’s Hamza Saeed by a margin of 5-1 and 4-4 points to win the gold medal.
Meanwhile, the President of the Pakistan Olympic Association, Syed Abid Qadri, Secretary General Khalid Mahmood, Chairperson of Special Olympics Pakistan Ronaq Lakhaani, President of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation Colonel Waseem Janjua, and CEO Umar Saeed congratulated Shah Zeb Khan for winning gold and Hamza Saeed for winning silver.
