On October 9-10, 2024, four Khwarij were killed in two separate operations conducted by Security Forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On October 9, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Janikhel, Bannu District, following reports of Khwarij presence. During the operation, an intense exchange of fire resulted in the elimination of two Khwarij.
In another operation on October 10 in the general area of Hassan Khel, North Waziristan District, security forces effectively engaged a Khwarij location, resulting in the death of two more Khwarij during the ensuing firefight.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain Khwarij, who were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces, as well as abductions and targeted killings of innocent civilians.
Area sanitization is currently underway to eliminate any remaining Khwarij, as security forces remain determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country.
