National Assembly Congratulates Government and Citizens for Hosting 23rd SCO Summit, Emphasizing Regional Cooperation and Diplomacy

This House congratulates the President of Pakistan, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Government of Pakistan, and the people of Pakistan on the successful conduct of the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

This House pays tribute to the President of the Republic, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, and former speakers who played a role in promoting regional cooperation.

This House commends the significant role of the Government of Pakistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Interior, and law enforcement agencies, including the police, Rangers, and Pakistan Army, in successfully organizing the SCO summit.

This House appreciates the efforts of all government institutions to beautify the federal capital, welcome guests, and elevate Pakistan’s dignity during the SCO conference.

This House extends its gratitude to all institutions and officials who performed their duties from the arrival of the guests for the SCO summit to their departure, on behalf of the entire nation.
