Strengthening Economic Ties: Zardari Discusses Cooperation with Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet
President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the need to enhance economic cooperation and business relations between Pakistan and Turkmenistan during his meeting with Rashid Meredov, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan.
To improve economic cooperation between the two countries, the President stated that connections between the stock exchanges of both nations must be strengthened.
The President highlighted that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Turkmenistan, noting that the Pak-Turkmen relations are based on shared values, religion, and culture. He stressed the necessity of working together for mutual prosperity, stability, and the betterment of both nations’ peoples.
The President reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the early completion of the TAPI gas pipeline project, asserting that this project will be beneficial for the economic development of both countries.
Rashid Meredov expressed gratitude to the President for his participation in the international forum held in Ashgabat to commemorate the 300th birthday of Makhtumkuli Fragi.
The President’s attendance at the international forum in Ashgabat reflects respect for the Turkmen people, according to President Zardari.
Rashid Meredov also conveyed a special congratulatory message from the President of Turkmenistan and the national leader of the Turkmen people to President Asif Ali Zardari.
The President thanked Rashid Meredov for his participation in the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
President Zardari expressed appreciation to the Turkmenistan government for their warm hospitality during his visit to Ashgabat.
