Joint Operation “HIMALAYAN SPIRIT” Leads to Significant Drug Bust in the Northern Arabian Sea
A joint focused operation, “HIMALAYAN SPIRIT,” was conducted involving Pakistan Navy ship PNS Zulfikar and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency ship PMSS Kolachi as part of Combined Task Force 150.
The operation received support from the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Pakistan Navy aircraft.
During the anti-drug operation, 1.3 tons of hashish were seized from a suspicious boat, with an estimated value of approximately 26 million U.S. dollars in the international market.
The Pakistan Navy is leading Combined Task Force 150, which aims to enhance maritime security and combat illegal activities at sea.
