Jurm Ki Inteha
Crime and sin are among the darkest realities of human society. Where there is a violation of the law, the standard of humanity begins to decline. There are various types of crimes, ranging from petty offenses to serious felonies, but when crime reaches its peak, its impact on society becomes irreparable. That is the moment when humanity drifts far from its true essence.
The extremity of crime is not just a social issue; it is the declaration of the death of our collective conscience. A society that fails to raise its voice against crime and eradicate evil becomes complicit in the wrongdoing itself. Unfortunately, crime is increasing day by day in our society for various reasons, indicating a dangerous situation.
Lack of education, unemployment, and social injustices are major causes of the rise in crime. When the people of a nation are deprived of their basic needs, they are forced to take illegal paths. This does not remain an individual crime but points to the failure of an entire system.
In today’s era, we see that the nature of crime has changed. Serious crimes such as cybercrime, money laundering, and terrorism have engulfed the entire world. In Pakistan, these crimes have also reached their peak, where not only does the law seem weak, but public trust in law enforcement institutions is also fading.
Societies that reach the extremity of crime require reforms. First and foremost, we must improve our judicial and legal systems so that the provision of justice is timely and assured. The most essential step in eliminating crime is to awaken social consciousness. Until people realize that crime gains them nothing but destroys their lives, crime cannot be eradicated.
Moreover, strengthening the educational system, providing employment opportunities, and ensuring social justice are the fundamental measures that can help prevent crime. The government, the public, and social institutions must work together to find a solution to this problem; otherwise, the extremity of crime will completely destroy our society.
Let us all reaffirm our commitment to raising our voices against evil and crime around us and play our part in building a safe and prosperous society.
