Interior Ministry Forms Committee to Investigate KPK’s State Machinery Usage During PTI Protest
The federal government has taken decisive action regarding the alleged use of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KPK) government resources during PTI’s protest. The Interior Ministry has formed a special committee to investigate the involvement of KPK’s official resources. The committee includes Additional Secretary Rafat Mukhtar from the Ministry of Interior and ADG FIA Muneer Masood Maratha, along with senior officials from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) above Grade 20.

According to the official notification, the committee will thoroughly investigate the usage of government vehicles and resources during the PTI march. Additionally, the committee will conduct an inquiry into the involvement of KPK government employees who participated in the protest.
The committee’s primary responsibility is to identify and establish accountability for any employees involved in planning and coordination efforts. The inquiry team has been given a deadline of seven days to submit its report.
