October: Breast Cancer Awareness, Prevention, and Hope
October Brings Focus to Breast Cancer Awareness, Empowering Women Through Early Detection and Support
The month of October is celebrated by the World Health Organization to raise awareness about breast cancer and promote timely diagnosis and effective treatment access for women.
October serves as a platform to provide information about breast cancer and encourages support for women in the fight against this disease.
Breast cancer survivor, Mrs. Sameena, shared her experience:
“When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was very anxious, but the doctor reassured me and initiated my treatment promptly. My message to women is that if you feel any lump, get yourself examined immediately, and do not be afraid of treatment or surgery if diagnosed.”
Another breast cancer survivor, Mrs. Fahmida, added in her message:
“I have come here from Skardu for a routine check-up…”
