PM Shehbaz Praises Diplomatic Success of SCO Meeting and Economic Progress at Luncheon for Government and Allied Senators
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated all leaders on the successful organization of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting in Pakistan.
The successful conduct of the SCO meeting represents a significant diplomatic achievement for Pakistan, stated the Prime Minister.
He further noted that the successful hosting of this meeting has strengthened Pakistan’s diplomatic profile on the international stage.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the collective efforts of all relevant institutions for the success of the SCO.
Prior to the SCO meeting, the Chinese Prime Minister’s highly successful visit took place, he added.
He emphasized that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar played a key role in the success of the SCO meeting.
The country’s economy is on a positive trajectory, said the Prime Minister.
He noted that inflation has significantly decreased in a short period.
Thanks to economic stabilization, Pakistan has achieved the 2025 targets ahead of schedule in 2024, he stated.
The continuous increase in remittances is extremely encouraging for the national economy, the Prime Minister remarked.
He added that the record increase in remittances reflects the trust of overseas Pakistanis in the government’s policies.
The Prime Minister emphasized that everyone has made sacrifices for economic stability.
He reiterated his commitment to respond to opponents through hard work for the country’s development and prosperity.
“You have all worked diligently, sacrificing politics for economic stability and diplomatic successes,” he conveyed to the leaders of allied parties in the Senate.
The Prime Minister highlighted that all political parties and the public have contributed sacrifices to help the country overcome challenges.
He stated that all political parties and institutions are working together for the nation’s progress.
For the sake of national interest, we are progressing towards a prosperous Pakistan in collaboration with our allies, concluded the Prime Minister.
The event was attended by Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and senators from the government and allied parties.
