Punjab Government Declares Holiday for All Educational Institutions Tomorrow

All Schools, Colleges, and Universities in Punjab Closed on Friday, October 18

All private and public schools, colleges, and universities across Punjab will remain closed on Friday, October 18.

The decision to close educational institutions was taken based on the recommendations of law enforcement agencies. The holiday has been announced due to concerns over the prevailing law and order situation.

Ensuring the safety of students is the government’s top priority. There are concerns that protests and unrest under Section 144 could jeopardize the future of students.

The government has stated that any form of protest or attacks on public and private properties will not be tolerated.

Notifications have been issued by the School Education Department and the Higher Education Department upon the recommendation of the Home Department.
