Meeting on Progress of Humanitarian Aid to Gaza and Palestine Held Under the Chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif
- “As a nation, we must mobilize to assist our Palestinian brothers under the onslaught of Zionist forces,” said the Prime Minister.
- He directed that a plan for Pakistan’s humanitarian program for Palestine be formulated within three days.
- “Prominent NGOs in the country should be included in the aid activities,” emphasized the Prime Minister.
- He also stated that maximum educational facilities should be provided in Pakistan for students from Gaza.
- “Participation of educational institutions from both the public and private sectors in this initiative must be ensured,” the Prime Minister added.
- The Prime Minister was briefed that since October 2023, Pakistan has sent ten shipments of 1,810 tons of medicines, food supplies, clothing, and other relief items to Palestine.
- The Government of Pakistan is bringing back 71 Pakistani citizens stranded in Lebanon via Damascus, the Prime Minister was informed.
- Measures are being taken to repatriate more Pakistani citizens from war-torn areas, as per the briefing to the Prime Minister.
