“Explosion Near Karachi Airport Injures Over Ten, Including Foreign National”
An explosion occurred on Sunday evening near Karachi Airport, injuring over ten individuals, including a foreign national. The blast took place on the road connecting the airport to Shahrah-e-Faisal and was so powerful that its sound was heard in various areas of the city.
Multiple vehicles at the site caught fire as a result of the explosion. Sindh’s Home Minister, Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjhar, confirmed that it was a terrorist attack aimed at a vehicle carrying foreign nationals. According to police sources, a car collided with the vehicle carrying foreign passengers, injuring a Chinese citizen who was subsequently taken to the hospital.
The nature of the explosion has not yet been determined, but the Chief Minister of Sindh has requested a bomb disposal report from the Inspector General of Sindh to clarify the details of the incident. Ten Pakistani nationals were also among the injured.
Police surgeon Dr. Samiya Syed reported that two of the injured individuals are in critical condition. Minister Lanjhar stated that further investigations into the nature of the explosion are ongoing. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a Baloch separatist group, has claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement to the media.
