Celebrating the 69th Birth Anniversary of Patiala Gharana’s Legendary Singer Asad Amanat Ali Khan
Fans of the melodious singer and torchbearer of the Patiala Gharana, Asad Amanat Ali Khan, celebrated his 69th birth anniversary. The classical music maestro was born on September 25, 1955, in Lahore. Asad Amanat Ali Khan inherited the art of singing from his father, the renowned Ustad Amanat Ali Khan, but he made his own mark in the world of music.
He began singing at the tender age of 10 and added prestige to his family’s classical music heritage. His ghazals and classical ragas gained international acclaim, and his first recognition came from singing his father’s famous ghazal “Insha Ji Utho Ab Kuch Karo.” However, his true fame came from the iconic song “Umran Langhiyaan Pabaan Bhar.”
In recognition of his contributions to music, Asad Amanat Ali Khan was awarded the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance.
